A treat for you today, as there's two TOTD's, courtesy of the Royal Wedding hysteria that took over everyone's lives yesterday. First up is a track from Adele's first album '19'. The significance of the track relates to a change that occurred yesterday while this song was on. Despite my best efforts, I managed to succumbe to the powers of royalty and found myself engrossed in the live wedding of Will and Kate. Yes, I'm a hypocrite, what are you gonna do about it? Anyway, we were having a good ol' fashioned street party and the weather wasn't the best to say the least. To cut a long story short, someone's iPod dock was on shuffle in the middle of a bunch of tables and just as this song came on, the sun decided to finally wrestle it's way through the clouds and, quite literally, brighten up our day. It was definitely one of those cheesy moments, fitting for a cheesy party. So, for the first of two times today, without any further ado, here's yesterday's TOTD:
Following closely after it, today's TOTD comes courtesy of Radio 1 DJ, Huw Stephens. I was on my lunch break today, whilst taking part in a rare spell of work, and I was eating my Italian BMT from Subway in the car, with the radio on. Mr. Stephens pitched this one up and I have to admit, with the sun shining and the relaxation that I was trying to take part in, this was definitely the kind of tune I wanted to be listening to. A bit of an odd name for an artist (I mean it doesn't really scream 'I'm awesome') but you know what they say about books and covers etc. So, without further ado for the second time today, I give you TOTD #6:

For anyone who was watching the Q music channel today (364 for those not in the know), you may have noticed that today's TOTD is inspired by a marathon featuring The Wombats vs. The Pigeon Detectives. Although there's plenty of classics to pick between the two, all of which faired better in the overall chart, this was one from The Wombats new album, 'This Modern Glitch'. It's only the second time I've heard it, but it reminded me of how good I thought it was the first time and I feel it needs some pushing. So without further ado, I give you today's TOTD:

I first heard this song on an episode of House about a year ago. I was already a big fan of the artist, but when I heard this song, I remember it really summed up my mood at the time and I fell in love with it. Today was quite a day, the sun was out and I caught up with an old friend who I haven't seen for a while. I was walking and talking in the sun and this one popped up in my head again. So, without further ado' (as seems to be my catch phrase on this section), here's the TOTD:

This one comes hand in hand with my latest TV obsession. Stemming from the bus trip to Lloret de Mar, I was finally introduced to the wonder that is Gavin & Stacey. Yes, I know, how have I taken so long to watch it, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, it's a cracking song by a very talented, young fellow by the name of Fretwell. Without further ado Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you your track of the day:

Decided it's only right to give this topic it's own page, partly because it didn't fit right in my normal blog, but mostly because I love music enough to cater properly for it. So although the first official TOTD was Arctic Monkeys' 'Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair', I can't post the same song twice; that would just be silly. So todays TOTD is a little number I heard sneaking around at the tail end of the tracklisting for Foo Fighters' new album, 'Wasting Light'. The 12th track (which features only on the Deluxe Editions of the album) is a refreshing collaboration with house DJ, deadmau5. So without further ado, here's todays TOTD:
