CLOSED
After a lot of contemplation (5 months and 3 days, to be precise) I've decided that this digital adventure of mine is to be declared officially dead. But from death, there comes new life, and I hope that in the not too distant future that rings truer than ever. I'll be keeping the site open, almost like an archive of the last 5 months of my life, January 2011 - June 2011. Thanks to everyone who paid an interest, really appreciated all the support. But alas, times have changed and with such change, I have decided to drop the moniker of Thomas Henry Dammias. It was fun hiding behind the safety net, but I think that the time is right to take the confidence this learning experience has given me and pursue a career as myself, for a change. And let's be honest, who in their right mind who want to be called Thomas Henry Dammias? (To all the Thomas Henry Dammias' out there reading this, I look forward to your strongly-worded letters). And so, signing off for the last time as the infamous 'THD', I bid you all a fond farewell. Here's to the future. - THD. (19:00, 02/11/2011)
Time at the bar, please.
Due to lack of commitment, interest and effort, three.six.five. will be temporarily shut down until further notice. - THD. (01:42, 30/05/2011)
Rejoice for new 'good winter'
For anyone who's done their homework, it all makes sense. TOTD is up. - THD. (17:22, 18/05/2011)
Barbershop Quartet
Okay, so this has nothing to do with barbers or shops, but there is a quartet of TOTD's for you. And yes, I am that lazy... - THD. (15:52, 16/05/2011)
Dollars and silences.
Yesterdays and todays TOTD's are up for examination. - THD. (17:24, 10/05/2011)
Blog + new post = update.
New shiny things. Blog and TOTD. - THD. (22:21, 08/05/2011)
On the agenda...
The latest TOTD is up, with a blog to follow soon. Looking a bit further ahead, I have about four, maybe five, new pieces of writing to add, but that'll have to wait til I get back to Bath on Monday (with the actual uploading probably taking place on Tuesday, due to the fact that there's a big tour reunion night planned for Monday). To be continued... - THD. (15:53, 06/05/2011)
Bored to Death
Just wanted to give this a mention, mainly because I have too much spare time and not enough Playstation 3, but also because it's actually pretty good. Stumbled across it accidently while looking at the programme listings for Sky Atlantic on Sky Player and I decided to give it a go. The main character is Jonathan Ames, played by Jason Schwartzman, a struggling author who decides to moonlight as a private detective in order to make some money for on the side. Although Schwartzman is fairly unknown (to me at least) his co-stars include Hangover and Due Date sensation, Zack Galifianakis and former Cheers and Becker star, Ted Danson, who play Ames' bestfriend and boss respectively. Galifianakis plays Ray Hueston, a thirty-something cartoonist who is struggling at both being an artist and a boyfriend. Danson plays narcissistic womeniser George Christopher, who is the head of the fictional New York magazine, 'Edition', for whom Jonathan is one of the writers. The trio combine to produce a host of witty moments, ignited by their repetitive abuse of alcohol and marijuana. If you're looking for something funny and easy to watch, this is definitely the shot, as the quality and subtlety of the comedy writing shine throughout. - THD. (22:34, 02/05/2011)
[witty title here]
TOTD's #7 and #8 are up, as is the latest blog. Sorry for the briefness, but I'm actually going to wet myself if I don't stop typing and start urinating in the nearest available ditch. - THD. (15:09, 02/05/2011)
A date of the upwards variety.
New TOTD's are up. The next slice of blogtastic pie tomorrow. In other news, I have been working today! £70 up after a day of vote counting. Good moods all round. Have a wonderful day, filled with rainbows, butterflies, lollipops, puppies and severed Jedward heads (also commonly known by the general public as 'smiley faces'). - THD. (17:13, 30/04/2011)
Good evening, sports fans...
The latest updates in the blog-o-sphere and today's TOTD are up. Enjoy - THD. (19:20, 29/04/2011)
On track
TOTD #2 is up, along with the latest blog. Tidy. - THD. (13:44, 26/04/2011)
A few little tweaks
I've decided to give the Track of the Day it's own section, as I didn't feel like it fit right in the Blog. Following that, I've tweaked the Writing link above, so now if you hover the cursor over it, the list of available sub-pages will drop down for you to choose from. I'd heard it was the little things that make the difference... Anyway, the new official TOTD #1 is up and the blog is to follow in a bit, but the prospect of a BBQ is far too tempting to turn down. Adios amigos. - THD. (25/04/2011)
Believe it or not...
Finally... the BLOG, has come BACK... home. - THD. (24/04/2011)
Refurbishment
Okay, so first things first: I have been a complete and utter waste of skin when it's come to maintaining this blog over the last however many months. There was a major set back during the work on my university project and admittedly I just haven't had the motivation to grit my teeth and soldier through the massive amount of catch-up that was required. So, as of today, I am officially boycotting the last couple of months of my life, accepting the fact that I have failed at trying to do a blog for 365 days of the year and I am drawing a line under it all.
Secondly, I have decided that the whole site in general needed a bit of a revamp, so I've updated the aesthetics of the blog, as sort of a cheap gimmick to trick you all into thinking that change is on the horizon. I'm not sure I believe it either, but you can't knock my enthusiasm.
Following that, I have decided that the format of the blog is going change. I won't be doing one, big, day-by-day account of my life anymore, as I don't always have time to do so. Instead, I will be updating it as and when I please, mostly as a constant stream of consciousness. The aim is to hopefully opt for more of a 'Museum of My Mind' concept, as apposed to a 'Here's a Diary of My Life' one. I plan on adding opinions/quotes/live commentary, pictures, videos, music etc. as and when they come to me. However, I will still be using the blog as a way to vent my deepest thoughts when it's necessary. What can I say...it's a therapeutic experience that I benefit from and I want to maintain that seriousness from time to time.
Finally, I will do my best to add more writing and creativity to the various portfolio sections on here and all in all just improve my committment to the cause.
For anyone who was a religious follower, I can only offer my sincerest of apologies for the hiatus that has occurred over these last few months. I will do my best to regain your following. And for those of you have kept the faith, here's to repaying your patience with progress.

ENTER: Scriptwriting
Well, it's taken two months and seventeen days, but finally the 'Scriptwriting' section is up! I've added my scenes from my group's recently finished Creative Project, which of course you won't know is finished due to the lacking in bloggage. Consider this some sort of consolation prize for the desperate neglect this last month. - THD. (16:29, 17/03/2011)
Three isn't company, it's progress.
Okay, so it's a week late & it's not quite five posts, but for the first time in a month here are three posts for you to sink in to. More to follow, potentially... - THD. (16:03, 17/03/2011)
The Long and Winding road...
16 days later, and the prodigal son has returned. The good news is that I'm back, the bad news is that a lot has changed since my last post, so there is an obscene amount of blogging to be done; 22 posts to be precise. I'll be doing my best to get them up as soon as possible, with work starting today. As a goal to set myself, I'm gonna try to get about 5 a day up for the next week, but undoubtedly this won't happen because I'm a no good, full-of-disappointments, promising-more-than-I-can-offer liar... but here's to trying. - THD. (14:12, 10/03/2011)
No computers, just blues.
I must apologise for the lack of activity which is going to be taking place on the blog for the next two weeks. My Creative Project is taking over my life, so I have very little time in which to update it. The time I do have, I'd rather spend reading or doing something that does not involve me writing anymore than I have to. To add to this, my main computer has decided to devolve (or whatever the opposite of evolve is) into a snail; a stupid, slow, silly little snail who is giving me the v's, wearing a grin on his stupid snail face. Anyway, I'm writing all the blogs by hand at the minute so they get done, but also to trick my brain in to thinking that it's not using a computer. If I get a chance in between work, then I'll be sure to update. If not, I send my sincerest apologies & you'll just have to look forward to a potential bundle of fourteen posts, which should keep you going for all of five minutes. Sorry again, hope you can function without. PS: twenty one days of sobriety is starting to take it's toll! These next seven days can't physically move quick enough! - THD. (01:23, 22/02/2011)
Next.
#47. - THD. (00:12, 19/02/2011)
Hot flush.
On a roll at the minute. Trying not to set the bar too high for myself though, looking to play the patience game with regards to how much I try to do in a day, otherwise I won't be able to produce the goods on a daily basis. But, having said that, two more pieces have been added to the 'Story Writing' section. Nothing major, but in the words of 21st Century philosopher, Tesco, 'Every little helps...' - THD. (11:23, 18/02/2011)
Progress...
Yesterday was a landmark day for the three.six.five blog, with views finally breaking through the triple figure barrier & beyond. I'd fallen painfully short two days ago with 99 views for the day, but yesterday's final view count was 143, so I would like to thank all who have taken an interest in it. I know 143 is small beans in comparison to the thousands & millions of views that the big boys are getting on their websites, but it's the little things that count, so thanks very much. Let's hope it continues in the same vain. - THD. (10:44, 18/02/2011)
Here's to the Writer's Workshop
In a rare event, I have the first poem of 2011 for you all to behold. It comes after our assignment task was to develop a poem using three set criteria: an object, an emotion & a type of poem. This is the result of: a vase, overwhelming & a terza rima. I know you're not idiots, but it has been a while so you may have forgotten that you'll find it in the 'Poetry' section under '2011'. - THD. (23:47, 17/02/2011)
Taking the moral high ground.
I'm going to apologise for the absence of a post for the 15/02/2011, but I've just spent the best part of an hour writing it & after clicking 'publish live' it's decided to go for a walk about & I'm not about to write it all over again, so there will be no post for Tuesday. So demoralising it's actually ridiculous. Thanks for that weebly, you're such a nice guy. Fucking technology. - THD. (11:10, 17/02/2011)
Something good can work.
The Valentine's Day special is here... I'm sure I don't need to date this one! - THD. (01:46, 17/02/2011)
Super Sunday.
#44... - THD. (01:13, 16/02/2011)
The weekend bonanza.
Friday (42) & Saturday's (43) blogs are up. Quite an optimistic feel creeping into life, it would seem. - THD. (15:36, 14/02/2011)
All four-one & one for all.
Mr 41, at your service. More bloggy-goodness to come, as well as some writing to be uploaded soon. Time to get back to work on this portfolio again I think. I seem to be trying to get away with the bare minimum these days, which isn't really the point of this whole thing now is it? Your humble narrator is going to do his best to up his game. - THD. (12:02, 12/02/2011)
Burst of creativity.
It's a gradual business... #40. - THD. (20:25, 11/02/2011)
Ranting, again.
#39. The milestone #40 to come... - THD. (13:22, 10/02/2011)
Business as usual.
Sorry about weebly's awkwardness yesterday. Here's no. 38, the blog for 07/02/2011. Stay posted for no. 39 at some point today too, it'd be an awful shame to miss it now, wouldn't it? - THD. (10:26, 09/02/2011)
'echnical Terror.
Due to the intervention of those more technically equipped than I, my blog has decided to go on strike & freeze every time I try to give birth to another piece of blog-tastic genius. Apologies for the inconvenience. I'll post tomorrow. - THD. (01:27, 09/02/2011)
#37
The post for Sunday 6th of January is up. - THD. (22:50, 07/02/2011)
Three is the magic number.
Blog posts 34, 35 & 36... just because I like you. I would also like to point out that this is the end of The Great Blog Catch-up of '11. A monumental day in the history of three.six.five. - THD. (13:48, 07/02/2011)
The not so big one.
Blog post 33 aka 02/02/2011 is up. - THD. (01:38, 05/02/2011)
The big one.
Well as promised, here's a nice bombshell for you all to relish in. Blogs 28-32 are now up. It should also be noted, at this point, that we've reached the first milestone, in amongst this nice wedge of posts; three.six.five. has made it past the first month mark. Who would of thought it, eh? Long may it continue I say! Anyway, enjoy! - THD. (15:09, 04/02/2011)
One step closer...
#27 has arrived. Only two more to catch-up on, then there will be an absolute bombshell of blogs to follow. Stay tuned. - THD. (23:55, 02/02/2011)
TwoSix.
Blog numero 26'o has joined the club. Told you not to hold your breath yesterday. I have only got three more of The Great Blog Catch-up of '11 to go though, so once they're done we'll be up to scratch, 'cause I have last two nights blogs already in the bag, just waiting to publish them in chronological order. I can feel the normality being restored slowly but surely... - THD. (02:50, 01/02/2011)
Another two bite the dust...
#24 & #25... The plan is to have at least one more up by the end of today. However, if you've been following this blog, you'll know by now not to hold your breath on that one. - THD. (14:13, 31/01/2011)
#23
23/01/2011 is up... - THD. (03:09, 30/01/2011)
And another two off the list...
21/01/2011 & 22/01/2011 are up & writing around university life is extremely challenging. That is all. - THD. (22:21, 29/01/2011)
Dirty, no-good liar.
Yeah, I'm slowly but surely becoming the world's worst blogger... ever. Trying my best to get back on track, but this university life is killing me! 0% alcohol as of February though, so we will eventually be up to date... some day. - THD. (21:08, 29/01/2011)
Two more up, still five behind.
The blogs for 19/01/2011 & 20/01/2011 are up. I plan to have another two up by the end of today. - THD. (08:00, 26/01/2011)
Buh Luh Ouh Guh
Added the blog for 18/01/2011 - THD. (15:59, 25/01/2011)
Reworking is under way
Two additions to the '2010' poetry section today. Going through the old poems & bringing them upto speed with my new standards. More to come, including more blog catch-up. Stay tuned... - THD. (14:39, 25/01/2011)
Getting the train back on the tracks.
Okay so, up to now, I've added a few bits of writing to the 'Story Writing' section, as well as added the blog for 17/01/2011. I plan to add more over the course of today, but I'm just gonna log it accordingly, as and when I feel the need to highlight my work rate. I'm determined to get back on track; this will eventually be an online portfolio, even if it kills me. - THD. (14:16, 24/01/2011)
Back from the dead...
Well, after a weeks hiatus, two essays, one cultural report and a bunch of other stuff, I'm back. Not happy with my own personal lack of effort this last week, so I'm gonna be sure to use this next week to get back up to scratch with the blogs, finally get my writing uploaded and just generally commit myself back into the whole process. The re-building starts today... - THD. (12:20, 24/01/2011)
Severe 'weather' warning:
Just a quick one to say that tonight's blog will be delayed, and the forecast looks bleak for the rest of this week's blogs up until I have finished university work, which should be around Thursdayish. I'll try my best to squeeze them in between, but no promises. - THD. (03:58, 18/01/2011)
I can't get no sleep...
Due to an untimely bout of insomnia, it would seem we are right back on track with the blog. Good times all around... - THD. (01:39, 17/11/2011)
Playing catch up.
Something, something, something, new blogs that are late, something, something. - THD. (15:41, 16/11/2011)
12 & 13
No clever title, just two blog-posts. That is all. - THD. (01:29, 14/01/2011)
Too much blood in my alcohol system...
Due to excessive amounts of alcohol, today's blog post will be delayed until tomorrow morning. Accept it. Get over it. - THD. (23:09, 12/01/2011)
Legs eleven *twit, twoo*
Major rant for you all today. Dammias getting hot-under-the-collar about the music scene. - THD. (00:58, 12/01/2011)
Double figures
The big one oh is up! - THD. (01:00, 11/01/2011)
Incase you missed it...
For all those who lack commitment, here it is in all it's glory. The Roller, by Beady Eye. - THD. (00:29, 11/01/2011)
Heads up for all Beady Eye enthusiasts:
The video for Beady Eye's first official single, 'The Roller', is premiering at midnight tonight on Channel 4. Don't miss it! - THD. (12:56, 10/01/2011)
No. 9
And just like that, two in one day. Enjoy. - THD. (00:45, 10/01/2011)
The final curtain...
Well, I know it's late, but blog post #8 is up. I would have taken a stab at it while I was drunk last night, but felt like I wanted to do a good day the justice it deserved by waiting until today to post it. I apologise in advance, because it's ridiculously long. But hey, nobody's forcing you to read it, so like it or lump it. - THD. (12:45, 09/01/2011)
Seven
Although I should be sleeping, I'm determined to stick at this. Blog #7 at your service. - THD. (01:40, 08/01/2011)
Turn the page, on the day, walk away.
Despite my alcoholled-up self & my increasing tiredness, blog post no. 6 is ready to rumble. Bon appetite. - THD. (03:22, 07/01/2011)
Fill your boots.
The fifth installment of 2011 is now up & available for browsing. Fill your boots. - THD.(00:05, 06/01/2011)
Paying respect
I'd just like to take this opportunity to pay my respects to my late Granda, Tom Smith, who passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early hours of yesterday morning. "May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face. And may the wings of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars." Rest in peace Granda. - THD. (00:04, 05/01/2011)
Tribute
Blog #4 is up. Undoubtedly the toughest one yet. - THD. (23:49, 04/01/2011)
Something to 'look forward' to in the not so distant future.
Planning on uploading my Creative Writing works from university once I go back to Bath. Got a few short stories, a few short story openings, random scripts for a mock-soap & other general bits & pieces to add. Gonna turn this into my online portfolio. Oh, online portfolio eh? Very posh. Watch this space. - THD. (02:38, 04/01/2011)
Another loud thought...
Blog #3 lives! - THD. (00:19, 04/01/2011)
Feedback
Added a feedback section today. I know, you're ecstatic. I can tell. - THD. (23:28, 03/01/2011)
Round 2 *ding*
Today's blog entry is up and running... if anyone picks up on what may seem as a lack of continuity between the dates of the home page and actual blog posts, it's because I'm posting from the UK & the blog post auto-date thingy-ma-bobby is wired up all Americany and stuff. If I can sort that out, I will. If not, deal with it. - THD. (01:03, 03/01/2011)
Links and stuff...
Busy sorting out pages & links to other pages & links to the pages' pages etc. etc. so bare with me. On the plus side though, this Writing section is starting to come together quite nicely. - THD. (23:48, 02/01/2011)
A poet who doesn't know it.
Added my first, and most recent, poem to the Poetry page today (which can be found, believe it or not, in the Writing section). It seemed fitting cause all the old ones from my livejournal page are dated & could do with a touching up before they can take pride & place in this supposed gallery of mine. Wrote this one while I was on the train back from Bath to Newcastle in December. And I thought people were full of shit when they said that the view could be inspiring... - THD. (23:02, 02/01/2011)
Reading Diary
Entry numero uno in the Reading Diary is up, with the first weapon of choice being Ray Bradbury's 'The Martian Chronicles'. - THD. (13:05, 02/01/2011)
And they're off...
Blog entry #1 is up. Could well be the start of something beautiful; but it could also be the beginning of my (very much public) humiliation. More to follow soon - THD. (12:27, 02/01/2011)
